We previously mentioned that Warner Bros. is gearing up for a September shoot on Todd Phillips’ Joker movie in New York City, which was later confirmed by THR.
Now, THR has confirmed that the studio plans to release the Joker on October 4th, 2019.
This will be a full month before Wonder Woman 1984 is set to be released on November 1st, 2019.
Given that Joker’s budget is around $55 million it likely gives them more wiggle room on post-production.
Joker is said to be set in the 1980s and will see the villain rise from struggling comedian to Gotham’s top gangster.
Next up will be the rest of the casting as Robert De Niro has been linked as possibly joining Joaquin Phoenix‘s Joker in the film. The rest of cast could be equally impressive.
