Warner Bros. Slates Release Dates For Three Untitled Event Films

Jul 15, 2016

Box Office Mojo has reported that Warner Bros. has date three Untitled Event Film projects. They more than certainly will end-up being DC Comics movies, as we know that development on both Ben Affleck’s The Batman and a little more on the down-low is David Ayer’s Suicide Squad 2.

I’d have to assume that August dates might be set aside for Suicide Squad 2 and The Batman, as early August is looking like a solid release window for the studio’s darker superhero projects.

There’s also a chance it could be something like Lobo, which is currently being scripted by Wonder Woman‘s Jason Fuchs and might be a great fit for that Suicide Squad release week.

Lobo is essentially the DC version of Wolverine or Deadpool, it’s a project that might be a great layover between Suicide Squad sequels/spinoffs. Following the adventures of this violent intergalactic bounty hunter could be a chance to further explore the cosmic side of the DC Cinematic Universe, and might even help establish the much larger cinematic universe that the Green Lanterns inhabit and patrol.

Green Lantern Corps is another possible candidate.

Other films could be Edge of Tomorrow 2, Blade Runner 3, or even Akira. WB could easily make these new lineup announcements next week during Comic-Con.
