It was revealed not too long ago that Warner Bros. and director Todd Phillips was eyeing Oscar-winner Joaquin Phoenix to play a new version of the Joker in a gritty standalone film set in the 1980s.
Well, TrackingBoard’s Jeff Sneider posted a production listing for the Joker film that revealed the studio was looking to begin filming by May 1st. However, production locations and crew have yet to be assembled.

This hasn’t been confirmed but it’s an interesting development and could suggest things might actually be coming to together. The post also seemingly reaffirms that Martin Scorsese is still expected to produce.
