Morbius was announced back in late 2019 as it was meant to be released sometime in 2020. That didn't workout and it will now be released later this year.
Villain?
The villain in the Morbius film will be a Vampire called Loxias Crown or Hunger who was created in an experiment by the living vampire Morbius. He will be played by Matt Smith.

The trailer for the Morbius film has shown us a fair amount, such as showing us that Adrian Toomes is still alive and is now in the Sonyverse.

The cast of this film consists of Jared Leto, Michael Keaton, Tyrese Gibson, Jared Harris, Adria Arjona and J.K. Simmons to name a few.

In the comics Biochemist Michael Morbius had tried to cure himself of his rare blood disease by using experimental cure that involved bats.
