Wizard World Chicago Comic Con is exactly as it sounds, Comic Con, for Chicago! Of course that means tons of costumes, celebrities, and of course comics. That was what I expected and it was exactly what I received. It being my first con was a great first impression that just left me wanting more. I went mainly for the Doctor Who Q&A panel, which was fantastic. I also got to meet the Doctor himself, Matt Smith! He was very friendly and a nice guy in general, I hope to meet him again someday.

There were other celebrities such as Norman Reedus from The Walking Dead, a favorite show of mine as well, a couple of WWE superstars, some of the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy including Dave Batista and Michael Rooker, and who could forget Stan Lee. Basically all of our geeky needs had been satisfied. Everything else was just fantastic. Everyone was having a great time, in great costumes, and very friendly. There was so much cool stuff available for purchase from comics to swords, and everything in between. What I found amazing was a full body scanner where you could make yourself into a small action figure! I would’ve purchased one, but by the time I saw my body scan, the con had ended. I was very pleased with this event and am DEFINITELY returning next year. I hope to see some of you guys there in some sweet cosplay!
