James Mangold has revealed via Twitter the official teaser poster for Wolverine 3, that has confirmed the film’s title to be simply Logan.
This gives us further reason to believe the R-rated film is a modified adaptation of the violent Old Man Logan comics set in the future.
Mangold reaffirming the violence of the film by posting a page from the script.
It also appears to reveal that Logan is great pain with his healing factor diminishing and goes to the bottle to relieve some of that battle pain.
There had been fan speculation that the title would be Wolverine: Weapon X or The Death of Wolverine, obviously not the case.
A teaser trailer is now likely not far behind folks, as far as we know it’ll likely be released online first.
Hugh also posted images of the first public display of the poster in NYC.

The poster itself also deepens the speculation of the importance of that young girl spotted on the set, it’s most likely her little hand shown here with Logan. Plenty of casting-call information pointed to her being a cinematic take on Laura Kinney aka X-23, even Mangold himself wouldn’t comment if she was or wasn’t in the film. During his debunking of Mister Sinister’s involvement in the film a few weeks back.
Bryan Singer had been pushing the studio to have X-23 become Logan’s replacement as Wolverine, instead of recasting with another actor.
We’ll know more once the trailer is finally unleashed and more importantly should confirm who the villains actually are.
The film is set for a March 3rd, 2017 release date.
