Variety has word that actor Brian Tee best known for his roles in The Wolverine and Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift will be recast as the new Shredder in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. This is the first confirmation that the villain would be returning, but it had been expected since he’s their main antagonist.

He’ll join Megan Fox as April, Stephen Amell as Casey Jones, and Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman. Other villains include the fan-favorites Bebop and Rocksteady which Paramount confirmed would be in the film as well, still no word on if Krang or a new version of the Foot Soldiers are in it too.

Ninja Turtles 2 is set for release on June 3rd, 2016.

Here’s what Shredder almost looked like in the film, it’s possible that producers could go for this more faithful look if they’re said to be using concept artwork from the last film for Bebop and Rocksteady. Shredder could have also looked even more bizarre though, if other versions from artist Kelton Cram had been used.
