WWREB-Cv1-ds-65fd6Wonder Woman: Rebirth #1
DC Comics

Written by: Greg Rucka
Art by: Matthew Clark, Liam Sharp

So to keep this section as short as normal in Wonder Woman: Rebirth #1 Diana is struggling to figure out her true origins. Something is wrong on Olympus and its up to her to find out what. I know I’m not going into specific detail but I believe the issue is worth reading so just do that.

In the last few weeks after the rebirth announcement I went back to read some of Greg Ruckas first run on the series. I very quickly grew to love it and was excited to see him back on the Wonder Woman. I’ll admit this opening to the new series didn’t hook me as much as I had hoped but I have to say it was overall a great read. Rucka left me with questions that have guaranteed I’ll be picking up the next issues of this series.WWREB-1-4-307ff

What really wowed me though was the art by Liam Sharp and Matthew Clark. The attention to detail and beauty they delivered in this issue was surprising. It was clear a lot of work went into the book to make it look as clean and well put together as it did. I hope they can maintain this level month after month.

So what else can I really say I have high hopes for the rest of this series especially the “Year One” that’s coming. I’m curious where these duel stories will go but I’m also curious if the quality of these books will maintain coming out twice a month. One thing is for sure the creative teams were well selected for this series and I look forward to what’s coming next. As always go buy these books DC is really pulling off something special with some of these rebirth titles that deserves the support.
