‘X-Men’ Pilot ‘The Gifted’ Might Be Heading Back To WWII

Mar 25, 2017

We don’t know a lot about setting for Fox and Marvel Television’s new X-Men pilot titled The Gifted.

It’s been said the Matt Nix’s pilot will be connected to the X-Men cinematic universe, this is backed-up with Bryan Singer directing the pilot. Not to mention characters such as Magneto’s daughter Polaris, Warpath’s older brother Thunderbird, and the return of Blink connecting the potential series directly to the film franchise.

The series is said to focus on a family on the run from Sentinels when it’s discovered their children are mutants. They then have to rely on the mutant underground for help.

Omega Underground has uncovered another important detail about the pilot via a casting call we’ve uncovered. Legacy Casting is confirmed via Dallas Film Commission to be handling the extra casting for the pilot while it shoots in Dallas, Texas.

A recent casting call posted by Legacy (spotted by Omega Underground) is looking to hire extras to play SS Guards, the assumption here is that WWII plays a role in the pilot.

Could we see Polaris telling a story about her father’s exploits during the war in the concentration camps in flashbacks or will time-travel play a role?

Nimrod, an advanced self-repairing Sentinel had the ability to time-travel.

Stay tuned to Omega Underground for all your X-Men needs.
