‘X-Men: The New Mutants’ Director Confirming Maisie Williams As Wolfsbane?

Feb 12, 2017

For almost a year we’ve been hearing that the cast of X-Men: The New Mutants could include new additions such as Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik and Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane.

While Anya has voiced a strong desire to play the role it looks like Maisie might be the first one to get some sort of confirmation.

Director and writer Josh Boone, has seemingly confirmed that Maisie has landed the part of Wolfsbane with recent activity on his Twitter account. Revealing concept art from the film by artist Ashley R. Guillory that clearly has Williams in the role.

This isn’t the first time Boone has teased that the Game of Thrones actress might be a lock for the movie.

Josh has been supporting talk from Simon Kinberg that James McAvoy‘s Xavier would be the mentor of the team.

The director has also supported our information concerning the film’s title and production start taking place in April-May in Montreal.

It’s looking like X-Men: The New Mutants will be ready for release sometime in 2018. However, the studio has yet to name an official date for it.
