‘X-Men’s Jennifer Lawrence Seemingly Still Keen On Sticking Around For More Movies
Jennifer Lawrence has undoubtably developed into the female face of the modern X-Men franchise with her character Mystique.
Her rise to fame and major awards consideration came around the same time that X-Men: First Class was released, and I’m sure relieved a lot of studio people at Fox that had nabbed this huge talent.
The Oscar win and nominations aside, the big pay-off being her successful Hunger Games franchise making a mint and giving the actress massive box office success, along with global awareness, something that has alluded other main cast members.
When her contract was up after X-Men: Apocalypse it seemed a safe bet that the actress might want to pursue more awards caliber projects, as scheduling conflicts with big studio pictures axed a chance to join Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight as their leading lady Daisy.
A new quote from the set via Empire, reveals a positive desire for Jennifer Lawrence to keep making X-Men films.
“I am dying to come back,” she told us. “I love these movies, I love being in them. I love ensemble movies because it’s not on anyone’s shoulders.”
It’s been said that only Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy have re-upped their contracts, while the others haven’t, like Jennifer Lawrence. We could see more return or they could walk, I’m not entirely sure if Fox will want to just move on or try to keep the First Class team together for another films.
There’s still the looming issue, will Mystique survive X-Men: Apocalypse to even deem her return to the role?
Would you like to see Jennifer Lawrence keep playing Raven/Mystique in more X-Men films?
