yes DC fans, Its finally happening. The official 100% Zach Snyder version of JUSTICE LEAGUE is coming to HBO MAX in 2021. On Vero, while having a Man Of Steel watch party, Zach Snyder and his wife Deborah finally confirmed that his cut of Justice League will be coming to HBO Max. At this time it is unknown whether the film will be released as a 4 hour long director’s cut or in increments in a miniseries. According to sources, Zach and much of the original filming crew will return to film additional scenes and finish what he started.
According to the Hollywood reported, when The Release the Snyder Cut movement made a large social media push on the 2nd year anniversary of Justice League’s release, Toby Emmerich called up Zach Snyder to discuss details and acknowledged the size of the movement. Apparently when Zach had initially left the project, he took an unfinished drive with his cut on it thinking not much of it. Little did they know the extend the movement would grow to in the coming months. In the 5 days after the theatrical cut released, the release the snyder cut movement had over 100,000 signatures (Including my own!) This february, Zach held a black and white screening to executives of WB, HBO Max and DC. Among these shown the cut are Toby Emmerich, Jim Lee, and Walter Hamada. At this point the cut is very much so real but the release becomes in issue.
Soon thereafter the current predicament of Coronavirus struck, however Zach and Deborah realized now was the time to keep assembling the cut, VFX workers are currently out of work due to the lack of film production and so now would be the perfect time to complete visual effects as it can be done remotely and there a huge workforce available. Zach also reached out to cast and crew to share the news as well as request some returns. The first one to be called was Ray Fisher.
Now is the waiting game, until Covid lifts on Hollywood all the fans can do is wait and sing praise to Warners Bro’s for heeding our calls. In the meantime, Buy HBO Max to show our support for WB and their gift to the fans on May 27, 2020.
