Zack Snyder “Absolutely” Wants George Miller To Direct A DC Movie

Sep 10, 2015

While speaking to, director Zack Snyder was asked about if he’d be interested in George Miller coming in to direct a DC movie. His response was enthusiastic to say the least, and mentioned his phone was always open to Miller.

Snyder confirmed he hadn’t spoken to Miller yet, but that the phone was always open.

“George doing one of the DC movies? Oh my God, absolutely. George can do anything he wants, in my opinion.”

Given the rumors of Miller’s possible involvement in Man of Steel 2, and when Warner Bros. previously hired him to make a Justice League movie, It’s extremely likely, that the three would be able to work something out for the future. If something wasn’t already laid out.

We know the studio is indeed developing a new solo film, as previously announced, and it seems like Snyder will be way too busy with Justice League to return to solo Superman, so it would make sense for someone like Miller to get involved. As he could pump in his own brand of vision, mythology, action, character, and new blood, which is desperately needed for the franchise.

I’m sure something like the new Green Lantern reboot would also be a desirable project, as Miller is excellent with his world building skills, and it could end-up becoming DC’s version of Star Wars or Guardians of The Galaxy, if they go completely off-world with it.

Mad Max: Fury Road will likely open a lot of doors and offers for George, but I doubt he’s ready to jump straight-back into the world of Max at the moment. He’s said in the past that he has a completed script, and third movie is mapped-out, but it’s unknown if he’s waiting for that second script to be completed to shoot the movies back-to-back. A cost-cutting measure which could help get both films greenlit, instead of waiting around like the last one.
