After acquiring the rights to the Highlander franchise in 2008, Summit Entertainment has taken a huge step in taking the reboot of the 1986 original film back to the big screen. Variety and Nerdist are both reporting that Lionsgate has tapped John Wick co-director Chad Stahelski to helm the reboot. Stahelski will be taking over for Justin Lin (Star Trek: Beyond), who was originally attached to direct back in 2009.
