Gazillion has released over 300 costumes since the debut of Marvel Heroes in 2013. A few are still scheduled to make their debut this year, such as fan favorite Spider-Gwen which is an enhanced costume for Spider-Man. Here at Geeks With Wives we are huge fans of the MMO and decided to put together a list of costumes that we would like to see in Marvel Heroes in the future.
Ghost Rider – Blue Flame
While the Orange flame ignites his fiery attitude the blue flame gives him more of a heroic and dare I say angelic appeal. Besides we already have three different costumes which all feature his signature orange flame, and a hinted western Ghost Rider that may possibly be on its way. I’d also take the green flame variant. Why not? Spider-Man has three different Big Time costumes.
Introduced in Ultimate Fallout #4, Miles Morales takes over as the Spider-Man of the 1610 Universe after Peter Parker dies during a battle against the Green Goblin. Miles possesses similar powers to the original Spider-Man with some added skills such as a “venom strike” that allows Miles to paralyze his victims with a single touch. Miles outfit would be a great addition to the already expanding amount of Spider-Man costumes available. Two notable runner-ups would be the Iron Spider outfit debuted during the Civil War arc and Cosmic Spider-Man.
What If? Iron Man: Demon in an Armor (Doctor Doom)
In this What-If series, a college experiment goes bad and sends a young Tony Stark’s mind into a the body of fellow student, Victor von Doom. After the failed experiment, Tony is deported to Latveria where he is forced to live life as a commoner, while Victor is enjoying Tony’s wealth and becoming the heir to Stark Industries. This would be a great alternate costume for Doctor Doom, who has only recently made his debut as a playable character earlier this month.
What If? Newer Fantastic Four – Wolverine, Spider-Man, Hulk, Ghost Rider (Iron Man)
In this alternate universe, The Fantastic Four consists of Ghost Rider, Hulk, Wolverine and Spider-Man. The heroes of the world, including the Avengers, X-men and Ghost Rider fade into non-existence. The only remaining heros left on earth Are Spidey, Hulk, Wolverine and Iron Man. The FF recruit Iron Man and discover that this odd occurence appears to be the work of Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet. The four team up with Doctor Strange, Silver Surfer and Adam Warlock to take on the mad Titan and save their universe. The What If? Ghost Rider costume is already available for purchase, so why not the other four?
Kluh – Axis #4
Kluh debuted in Axis #4. In Axis, the heroes minds have been warped by the magic and science of Scarlet Witch and Doctor Doom. Normally, the key to turning into the Hulk is anger. This time, due to the spell, it is sadness and depression that causes Doc Green/Hulk to transform into the being known as Kluh. This new transformation was meant to be the Hulk’s Hulk. Kluh is covered in black armor, has red eyes and a white Mohawk.
Marvel Tron Variant
Back in 2010, in anticipation of Disney’s, Tron: Legacy hitting theaters, Marvel Comics announced variant covers to celebrate the film. There are tron-themed versions of Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Quicksilver, Captain America, Ghost Rider, Iron Man, Moon Knight, Thor, Wolverine and Captain Marvel. These are my personal favorite, as I am a huge fan of Tron. These sleek designs are absolutely flawless and are accompanied by the signature neon lights. I’d love to through a neon Captain America shield at baddies. Spider-Man’s variant looks like an amplified version of his Big Time costumes. (I’m still working on obtaining the blue one myself.)
Doctor Strange #177 – Blue Suit w/Mask
This all-blue outfit debuted in the 70s with Doctor Strange #117 when Strange returns to Earth after defeating Asmodeus. Although, this costume didn’t last long It would be a refresher to see but at this point I’d take any Doctor Strange costume. In this costume, he not only is the Sorcerer Supreme but also looks like a true Superhero.
Captain Universe Silver Surfer
For those who don’t know Captain Universe is a Uni-Power and a manifestation of the entire Universe. Whenever it finds a host, it grants them cosmic-like powers. Hosts in the past have ranged from Spider-Man, Invisible Woman and Daredevil to name a few. The Silver Surfer rescued the Uni-Power from Krosakis and escorted it back to earth where it merged with Gabriel Vargas, a paraplegic Desert Storm veteran. Gabriel went on to become to new Captain Universe.
X-Treme X-Men (2001) – Gambit & Rogue
In the early 2000’s, X-Treme X-Men was a 46 issue run which took place in an alternate dimension but was led by Dazzler from Earth-616. The team comprised of Storm, Gambit, Bishop, Sage, Rogue, Thunderbird, Psylocke, and Beast. Their costumes looked very similar from one another, with some sort of variation of red and black. Why don’t I mention everyone? Well Beast and Bishop have yet to become playable characters. Psylocke and Storm’s costume already look like designs already introduced to the game. Gambit and Rogue’s, however, are a brisk change from their traditional designs. Rogue ditches her usual Yellow and Green design for a red suit and red sunglasses. Gambit still wears his signature trench coat, but his body suit is solid black. I’d imagine that this would be a practical design we could see for the upcoming Gambit film that is currently in production.
Superior Iron Man
After the events of AXIS, some of the heroes minds have been altered in some way. In the case of Tony Stark, it left him seeing things with an all new perspective. The spell originally cast by Scarlet Witch to destroy Onslaught, brings out many negative qualities in Stark. Stark movies to San Francisco and releases a mobile app called Extremis 3.0 for which offers the user beauty, health and strength for free. Tony, in time, ends the free trial, begins charging daily fees to use the application and citizens become desperate and even dependent of the app. Superior Iron Man has been one of my favorite series this year. We are seeing this darker version of the billionaire playboy that we are used to. This series also brings in Daredevil who also moved to San Francisco, and without giving away too much, the altercation and outcome between the two is brilliant. Similar to the last Extremis armor, Stark is able to command this suit of armor with his mind. He also often removes his face mask as he likes to display his “good looks.”
