I decided to go a bit crazy for myself and purchase the 1:2 scale Superman statue made by Prime 1 Studio. The sculpt is modeled after Henry Cavill from the Batman V Superman movie. This statue comes standing at about 41” tall and it is quite something special.
The statue comes shipped in two boxes. One is just for the base and the other holds the statue. The base is quite heavy but that’s good since you will want a very strong base for something this big. On the base, there are four LED spotlights that are powered by using two C batteries. The switch is hidden behind nicely from the base emblem which there are two of. You get the Superman logo and the BvS movie logo. The spotlights are moveable and can pop right off if you need to replace a bulb. Everything about the base functions very well and the ease of access to replace the batteries which is also behind where you place the emblem is removable from its battery casing and is only held in with magnets. You’ll definitely want a helping hand when removing the statue from its box.
Putting him together is very easy as most of his body is ready to go. All you have to do is attach his hands, head, and cape. Before you know it, you’ll have a very tall standing Superman displayed in your home. Everything about this statue is perfect. From the sculpture of Cavill’s face to the materials used for the suit which looks about 100% accurate. The cape is made of detailed fabric and also has a nice bit of weight to it too. If you are a mega Superman fan like me, I think you’ll find yourself very happy with this in your collection. The price of these are very high sitting at $1,999.00 and only 1,000 are being made. I couldn’t be happier with this and if you’re able to get one, you won’t be disappointed.
