Today, Marvel announced that The Delivery and Black Sails director Roel Reine will helm the first two episodes for The Inhumans mini-series. These of course, will be shot entirely in IMAX and will debut exclusively in theaters before continuing on ABC. Something that has never been attempted before by a studio.
The Inhumans, a race of superhumans with diverse and unique powers, were first introduced in Marvel Comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1965. Since then, they have becomeĀ among the most popular characters in the Marvel Universe.
Just last week we got breakdowns on the characters that will be used in the show. It will be based off the Royal Family of The Inhumans. Something yet to be shown on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D; which has used the Inhumans as story arcs over the past several seasons. Unfortunately, characters like Dasiy Johnson aka Quake will not appearing in this show as far as we know.
Iron Fist and Dexter showrunner Steve Buck has also boarded The Inhumans as it’s showrunner.
