Several days ago Marvel head Kevin Feige came out and said Sony’s Spider-Man films currently in pre-production will not be in the same universe as the rest of the Marvel. This led many to question if Spider-Man himself will even be refrenced in Venom or Silver & Black. However, Amy Pascal in a recent interview now adds even more confusion to the question stating that the spin-off films do indeed exist in the same universe as Peter Parker. While not stating the Marvel Cinematic Universe directly:

Jokes aside on Kevin Feige’s own facial expression to these claims by Amy Pascal. It could be that Marvel Studios does not have a hand directly in making these spin-off films. Which doesn’t mean they don’t exist in the MCU but on the production side of things; the two companies will be be seperate. A great way to look at it is that the Netflix shows while “in” the Marvel universe are almost exclusively it’s own thing.
The plot thickens when it comes to these potential spin-off Spider-Man films…
