ABC Cancels Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’; Renews ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D’

May 15, 2018

Over the past week many fans of Marvel’s ABC shows The Inhumans and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D have been worried which series was going to get the boot and which show was going to stay. During ABC’s Upfront presentation it was announced that Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennett) will once again return with their Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D for a sixth season this fall. This is a sigh of relief after it was revealed last year that ABC was going to cancel the series but Disney forced the studio to keep the program. However, the upcoming season will only be 13 episodes which is half then past seasons. Which may not be great sign going forward past season six.

In less than surprising news, ABC has given The Inhumans the boot after one season. The series is considered the worst production Marvel TV has put out to date. With next to no weekly viewership; fans were just not interested in Black Bolt and the Royal Inhumans family. So fans can put to rest any idea that we will see a crossover in the future.
