Kelsey Grammer Wanted For DC Comic’s ‘Doom Patrol’ Streaming Series

Jun 23, 2018

Today, our friends over at That Hashtag Show revealed that casting for the major roles in DC Comics upcoming Doom Patrol streaming series has begun. According to their sources the studio wants Kelsey Grammer (X-Men: The Last Stand, Transformers) to star as The Chief. This role would be a recast from the character first appearing in Titans later this year.

“Eccentric, brilliant, paternal, and mysterious. The Chief is a noted scientist, wealthy investor and, of course, leader of The Doom Patrol. The Chief rescued each member of his team from horrific accidents, nurtured them to health, resuscitated their self-esteem and sent them into the world to defend a populace that sees them as little more than freaks. His disarming manner does little to conceal a steely determination and unwavering devotion to defending Earth from Evil’s oddest entities.”

No offer has been made to the actor but this report indicates what kind of caliber acting the studio wants for their streaming shows. Doom Patrol is expected to start filming later this summer in Atlanta.

Doom Patrol will stream exclusively on DC Universe
