Vin Diesel is looking to lineup up his next film after completes filming Sony’s Bloodshot set to film next month in Cape Town, South Africa.
In April, it was revealed the Diesel nabbed the rights to make xXx 4 alongside H Collective.
We’ve now learned that they are looking at filming xXx 4 in China which could directly target the Chinese audience that helped make the last film an international success. This might also signal of the return of Donnie Yen‘s character.
Return of Xander Cage ended up earning $164 million alone in China, while it only made $44.8 million domestically. Having both a Chinese action star and a Chinese setting linked to the project could help the film aim to be the next Wolf Warrior 2 [co-starring Frank Grillo] which has earned a whopping $870 in China.
DJ Caruso is set to return to direct and could begin around November-December that could reaffirm that the filming on Fast and The Furious 9‘s Atlanta shoot will indeed to push into next year. Caruso had also been attached to direct Paramount’s G.I. Joe 3 but that doesn’t look to be starting up anytime soon either [unless they find a new director].
xXx 4 is currently without a release date.
