Richard Madden and Bryce Dallas Howard Join ‘Rocketman’ – Hires ‘Baby Driver’ Production Designer and ‘Kingsman’ Composer

Variety has more casting additions for Dexter Fletcher’s Elton John film Rocketman as they report Bryce Dallas Howard and Richard Madden are set to join Taron Edgerton and Jamie Bell in the Paramount production.

Bryce Dallas Howard is set to play Elton John’s mother in Paramount’s biopic “Rocketman.” Taron Egerton is portraying John, while Jamie Bell is on board as Bernie Taupin, and Richard Madden is playing music manager John Reid.

Omega Underground previously reported that filming will be taking place at Bray Studios in Berkshire, England and is set begin rolling on August 2nd with an expected wrap on October 24th.

We’ve also learned they’ve hired Marcus Rowland as their production designer and Matthew Margeson as Rocketman’s composer.

Roland best known for working closely with director Edgar Wright on films such as Shaun of The Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World’s End, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, and Baby Driver.

While Matthew has scored for films such as Kingsman: The Secret Service, Eddie The Eagle, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, X-Men: First Class, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Paramount has set the release date for May 17th, 2019.
