Collider has recently revealed that actor Justin Theroux (Lego Ninjago) has entered final negosiations to voice tramp in Disney’s upcoming Lady and the Tramp remake. The remake will be “live-action” in the vein of The Lion King or The Jungle Book. However, this upcoming film will be released on Disney’s upcoming streaming platform only.
The original 1955 animated classic tells the story of a female American cocker spaniel named Lady who lives with a refined, upper-middle-class family, and a male stray mongrel known as the Tramp. When the two dogs meet, they embark on a romantic adventure and eventually fall in love.
Charlie Bean is directing the film from a script by Andrew Bujalski. The film will be under the production title of Goodbye Strangers throughout filming
Lady and the Tramp will stream exclusively on Disney’s streaming platform in 2019
