Today, Deadline announced that a follow up series to their Victorian-era series Penny Dreadful has been greenlit titled City of Angels. The original series (which garnered a massive cult following) followed characters like Doctor Frankenstien as they battled witches, werewolves and vampires in London. The series also starred Eva Green and Josh Hartnett. However, this series will be based on brand new characters set in 1938 Los Angeles. Which will be based on Mexican-American folklore this time. Penny Dreadful creator John Logan will return to also write and produce the upcoming series.
