Director Zack Snyder Returns To Filmmaking; Set to Helm Netflix’s ‘Army of the Dead’

Jan 29, 2019

After taking a year plus long hiatus from directing Zack Snyder is set to return with Army of the Dead for Netflix. The director left Justice League in early 2017 due to his adoptive daughter committing suicide and to spend time with his family. That is when Avengers director Joss Whedon came in to take over for Snyder. This will be Snyder’s return to the zombie genre after his directorial debut with 2004’s Dawn of the Dead.

The visionary director who helmed such films like 300, Watchmen and Man of Steel tells The Hollywood Reporter:

“There are no handcuffs on me at all with this one, I thought this was a good palate cleanser to really dig in with both hands and make something fun and epic and crazy and bonkers in the best possible way,”

Army of the Dead has no set release date
