Shortly after it was announced that Pet Sematary would be the closing film at SXSW, The remake starring John Lithgow has released its second trailer! The trailer depicts a few changes from the original film, such as the main antagonist, it looks like, but the creepiness is definitely still there. The film hits theaters April 5th and will premiere at SXSW on March 16th.
Official synopsis:
Dr. Louis Creed and his wife, Rachel, relocate from Boston to rural Maine with their two young children. The couple soon discover a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near their new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his neighbor Jud Crandall, setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unspeakable evil with horrific consequences.
The film is Directed by Kevin Kolsch, Dennis Widmyer and stars Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, John Lithgow, Naomi Frenette, Maria Herrera and Jeté Laurence.
