The synopsis for the upcoming ‘Bloodshot’ film, starring Vin Diesel, has been revealed! So, check it out below!
“After he and his wife are murdered, Marine Ray Garrison (played by Vin Diesel) is resurrected by a secret team of scientists. Enhanced with nanotechnology, he becomes a superhuman, biotech killing machine – “Bloodshot.” As Ray first trains with fellow super-soldiers, he cannot recall anything from his former life. But when his memories flood back and he remembers the man that killed both he and his beautiful wife, he breaks out of the facility hellbent on revenge, only to discover that there’s more to the conspiracy than he thought.”
Additionally, it is an adaptation of the Valiant Comics superhero of the same name. It will also be the first installment of the Valiant Cinematic Universe (VCU). The film may get a PG-13 rating due to recent test screenings.
Moreover, the director is Dave Wilson, who is making his directorial debut on the film. The screenplay is from Academy Award nominee Eric Heisserer (‘Arrival,’ ‘Bird Box’). Jeff Wadlow (‘Bates Motel,’ ‘Truth or Dare’) did an earlier draft of the script.
Further, the cast also comprises of Sam Heughan, Guy Pearce, Eiza González, Talulah Riley, Alex Hernandez, Toby Kebbell and Lamorne Morris and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson. Michael Sheen had to leave the project due to scheduling issues, and that’s when Pearce came onboard to replace him.
Sony Pictures will release the film on February 21, 2020.
