Long-Range tracking for one of, if not the most anticipated movies of all time, “Avengers:Endgame” has been released, and the numbers are jaw dropping. As of today, Endgame is tracking for a staggering $840 million worldwide opening weekend. This would shatter the record “Avengers: Infinity War” set just last year when the movie opened up to $640.5 million worldwide. That number paved the way for “Infinity War” to become the 4th biggest movie of all time when it finished its box office run with 2.048 billion worldwide.
In comparison, “Captain Marvel” opened worldwide to $456.7 million, “Marvels: The Avengers” opened with $392.5 million, and “Avengers: Age of Ultron” opened worldwide with $392.5 million.
“Avatar” currently holds the record for the biggest box office haul from its theatrical run with $2.788 billion.
“Avengers: Endgame” will look to use its projected record breaking opening weekend to jumpstart it to a potential record breaking box office run, and now with the projected opening weekend numbers, it is now ready to make a serious run at “Avatar’s” long standing box office record.
