Guy Ritchie’s next film ‘Cash Truck,’ Miramax’s remake of the 2004 French film ‘Le Convoyeur,’ now has Holt McCallany onboard to star opposite Jason Statham (‘Fate of the Furious,’ ‘Hobbs & Shaw’).
McCallany currently leads the Netflix series ‘Mindhunter,’ which just released its second season. He was recently in Clint Eastwood’s ‘Sully’ and Ric Roman Waugh’s ‘Shot Caller.’ Other David Fincher collaborations include 1992’s ‘Alien³’ and 1999’s ‘Fight Club.’
The premise of the action thriller is below:
“H (Statham), a cold and mysterious character, works at a cash truck company responsible for moving hundreds of millions of dollars around Los Angeles each week. Weaving through a suspenseful and carefully constructed narrative, the film shifts across timelines and between various characters’ perspectives.”
McCallany will play Bullet. He leads the transportation team and brings aboard H, who may not be who he says he is.
Meanwhile, Ritchie’s live-action remake ‘Aladdin’ made over a billion dollars this year, with a sequel in consideration. He is popular for directing Sony’s ‘Snatch,’ and both of Warner Bros.’ ‘Sherlock Holmes’ films. While he will not return for the third Sherlock movie, his film ‘The Gentlemen’ releases January 24, 2020.
Moreover, Ritchie will be reteaming with his ‘Aladdin’ cinematographer Alan Stewart, and working with production designer Martyn John (‘The White Queen,’ ‘The Last Kingdom’).
Further, filming will begin next month in London, England. Afterwards, shooting will take place in Los Angeles.
There is currently no release date as of now.
