The GWW has learned that The CW is plotting the expansion of their CWTV streaming service in the next two years. The CW is planning on moving several of their network originals to their streaming service, making them streaming exclusives. As of right now, the titles of the streaming exclusive shows are being kept under wraps, with the exception of one. We have discovered that ‘In the Dark’ will become a CWTV streaming exclusive for its third season.
The comedy-drama series was created by Corinne Kingsbury and stars Perry Mattfield as Murphy Mason, a hard-drinking, smoking blind woman who, when she stumbles upon the body of the drug-dealing teen who once saved her from a mugger, becomes committed to finding out what happened to him.
Other cast members include Rich Sommer (‘Elena of Avalor’, ‘GLOW’, ‘Regular Show’), Brooke Markham (‘Cassandra French’s Finishing School’, ‘Foursome’, ‘Guidance’), Casey Deidrick (‘Driven’, ‘Teen Wolf’, ‘Days Of Our Lives’), Keston John (‘Avengers Assemble’, ‘The Good Place’, ‘She-Ra And The Princesses Of Power’), Morgan Krantz (‘Tone-Deaf’, ‘CHIPS’, ‘Everything Is Free’), Thamela Mpumlwana (‘Pet+Cat’, ‘Rogue’, ‘Departure’), Derek Webster (‘NCIS: New Orleans’, ‘Ray Donovan’, ‘Salvation’), Kathleen York (‘How to Get Away with Murder’, ‘All Rise’, ‘The Client List’).
The CW Network LLC is a joint venture between ViacomCBS and AT&T. While The CW is best known for their free-to-air television network, they also run multiple video-on-demand services and CW Seed, a small streaming service dedicated to original content created exclusively for digital platforms focused in the areas of animation, game shows, comedy, and digital personalities.
There is no premiere date for ‘In the Dark’ season 3 as of now.
