Clear sound, comfortable ear cups, and a good microphone. That is what you will find with the Razer BlackShark V2 X. These wired headphones retail for $59.99 at Best Buy and Razer’s website.
The headphones are a little tight out of the box but after a few hours of use connected to my PS4 (stop reading right now and go play Ghost of Tsushima) and some diliberate stretching, the BlackShark V2 X became more comfortbale. Although, still not an idea fit. They’re less bulky than Razer’s flagship wireless headphones, the Kraken Ultimate, which retails for $129.99. I do really like those headphones as they are wireless and more comfortable around my big ears.
The headphones are black and bright green – using the same Razer colors you will find on their other products. There is no Chroma lighting tuning but you can install Razer’s THX surround sound software tuner and enable 7.1 surround sound. Its quite good and easy to use.
The microphone folds down and there is a mute button that is easy to access as is the volume dial. I used this headset on my PC as well and for a few Zoom calls. No negative feedback was received.
Connecting the BlackShark is simple as your only option is a 3.5mm headphone jack. Inside the box you will find an extention cord, as well as a travel bag.
If you are looking for a comfortable set of earphones at a reasonable price, the BlackShark v2 X is a good call.
