The Hollywood Reporter has indicated May Calamawy who made her mark in Hulu’s Ramy is joining the cast along side Oscar Isaac in Marvel’s upcoming Disney Plus show Moon Knight.
The site admits they do not know who May is playing in the show but we should find out more as production is set to being in March in Budapest. The show will be helmed by relative newcomers Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. Moon Knight is one of Marvel’s more complicated characters with a dark past. A ex-marine turned crime fighter with a multiple personality disorder and is possessed by the Egyptian Moon God Khonshu.
The character gives Marvel the chance to tackle a number of real-world issues from the horrors of war to mental illness and promises to be something a bit different from the studio.
