‘Black Adam’ has added a key player to its cast in 13-year-old Bodhi Sabongui. Although the exact role is still unknown, it should prove pivitol in the upcoming film. Jaume Collet-Serra is set to direct with production ramping up soon. Dwayne Johnson will play the title role.
‘Black Adam’ was originally a comic book character set in the DC universe. He predates Captain Marvel in the stories timeline and takes us all the way back to the bronze age where Teth-Adam is chosen by Shazam to take on the mantel. The power proved too much for Mighty Adam though, and he was shamed into being Black Adam and banished.
It’ll be exciting to see where they take Bodhi Sabongui’s character, because I for one would think he’d make an excellent Teth-Adam as he’s proved adept at his other projects such as ‘The Babysitter’s Club’ and ‘A Million Little Things.’ The story is supposed to involve the Justice Society somehow, which is the precursor to the Justice League.
