Seven Secrets #12
The ending of Seven Secrets #12 was definitely not the norm for Tom Taylor. It certainly raised some questions about what’s ahead, which is great. But Taylor definitely led readers to lean in one direction and move in another. (More on the ending in spoilers.)

The bulk of this issue is focused on the origin of Amon and Cano, whose personal secret we readers learned of in Seven Secrets #11. Of course, Taylor doesn’t fully explain why Amon and Cano have chosen this path. But we find out some of the driving forces behind the mess these two have created — and how Cano came to wear the mask that always made me at least a little suspicious of him.
Through two arcs, this remains one of the better indie books out there. Taylor continues to unravel this tangled web with a seemingly endless amount of twists, and Daniele Di Nicuolo’s art only elevates this story.

So, there were two things I didn’t expect with the way things were going at the end.
The first thing is obvious: Caspar can fly? There seems to be an electrical nature to his power, too? I need answers on this as quickly as possible.
Second, I cannot believe Taylor didn’t take advantage of the opportunity to off significant characters at the end of the issue. Obviously, you can’t kill all the important characters, but Taylor always seems to find a way — just not this time.
