Speaking with Empire Magazine, Benedict Cumberbatch has confirmed he is expected to star alongside several other members of the Avengers in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War film. On the subject, Cumberbatch told Empire, there’s a “logistical challenge of aligning his schedule with those of Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany.”
“To get us all together will be quite something. That’s why this character is being introduced, to open up the next chapter. So watch this space to see how that unfolds.”
Previous leaked set photos hinted at a potential cameo from Doctor Strange in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok film. In the screenshot, Thor is holding a piece of paper with Doctor Strange’s address.
We can’t wait to see Doctor Strange in his standalone film, and eventually interacting with other members of the Avengers. I’d imagine if he was around for Civil War, he and Thor would have thought Stark and Roger’s squabbling was petty. He probably would have remained neutral or Team Cap.
Doctor Strange hits theaters November 4th, 2016
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters November 3rd, 2017
