Remember in 2013 when 343 Industries gave Halo fans a new ominous trailer letting them know a new game was on it’s way? It showed Master Chief stumbling alone in a vast desert as a large robot(?) emerged from the dunes. Then last year they released the Master Chief Collection, which allowed people to test out the multiplayer feature for the upcoming installment in the Halo franchise. That now brings us to 2015. On 10-27-15, fans can expect to finish the fight in 343’s ‘Halo 5: Guardians‘. Along with that announcement they released two ‘perspective’ trailers, one from the POV of Master Chief and another from the mysterious character known as Agent Locke (he was the main character of the miniseries ‘Halo: Nightfall‘). Check them out below.

If you notice there are some small interesting tidbits that you can spot in these trailers. For one, both characters are depicted as having been defeated in battle from the other character (Agent Locke beats Master Chief, Master Chief beats Agent Locke). The battle takes place in a location that has erected a statue of Master Chief, showing us that people know the actions he’s taken in the UNSC/Covenant/Forerunner war. Also Locke says some interesting things in his monologue, such as calling him a betrayer, and that he caused the destruction seen in the trailer. So what causes him saying such things against our lord and savior Master Chief?
We’ll have to wait until Fall 2015 to find out.
