Sony recently put together a female-driven Ghostbusters film with Bridesmaids’ Paul Feig, and are now developing a female-led Jump Street spinoff according to The Hollywood Reporter. They’ve hired Broad City writers Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs, to pen the script which is smart move on the part of the studio. Leaked emails revealed Sony’s plans to make a Jump Street crossover with Men In Black, and this is confirmed with Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill starring.
My assumption is that it could revolve around Dakota Johnson‘s character who only cameoed, but I’m crossing my fingers the Broad City ladies will get involved. I’ll be slightly disappointed if they don’t pursue comedians for the spinoff.
