Quibi will launch on April 6th. There will be a two-tier pricing system: $4.99 monthly for an ad-supported version of the service and $7.99 for a version with no ads. Users who sign up before launch will get a 90-day free trial. The service is made to be viewed only on mobile devices and can be viewed in either horizontal or vertical video, with the user able to shift to one or the other within the same video. Content is filmed specifically for the format and broken into “chapters” of eight or ten minutes each. New shows will premiere every other week, while one new episode will release every day.
