Below I have some curated some items I think will make some great gifts for the Whovian in your life (or as a holiday treat for yourself – no judgement here!).
Funko is first on my list. The Doctor Who Pops! are by far my favorite to collect. There are a wide range of characters to choose from that will please every Who fan from the Classic fans, to the Modern fans, to everyone in-between. You’re bound to find THE Pop! your Whovian is looking for. And if you can’t, there are tons of independent artists who make their own Custom Pops!
Titan! Yes, they have magnificent comics, but have you ever looked into their Blind Boxes? No? Well this is the perfect stocking stuffer. There are varying themed series from specific Doctors to a range called the “Renegade” series – where you have a chance of getting a rather spiffy and menacing looking Master! Or, if you want, there is also the Kawaii designed ones, that were designed by Kelly Yates. I was recently introduced to both of these, and I must say, I am obsessed, and I can’t wait to collect them all! These can be found all over Amazon for varying prices, or from your local Hot Topic (online, too). Amazon may be the better route if you are looking for a specific themed blind box.
I don’t know about you, but I love a nice, comfy blanket when I take a nap, watch tv, or, well, justĀ exist. Fleece throw blankets are perfect gifts for the holiday season, and are guaranteed to be used throughout the year! There are plenty of Doctor Who themed throw blankets spiraling around the Internet and in stores that carry Doctor Who merchandise. There are even fans who make their own for you to buy! You can find them on almost any site that caters to fans like us, so there’s no excuse! Unless you already have one… but two blankets are even better than one.
Adult coloring books! Yes, there are Doctor Who ones – two of them, to be precise. It has been some time since these came out, but they aren’t going out of style just yet. You can color scenes from all the Doctors up to Twelve (hopefully there will be a third book released soon that includes more of the Eighth Doctor, War Doctor scenes, and Thirteenth Doctor scenes!). The illustrations are gorgeous, and it’s up to you to transform them into timey-wimey pieces of artwork. The first “Doctor Who Coloring Book” can be found on Amazon for $12.14 and “Doctor Who Travels in Time Coloring Book” can be found on Amazon for $10.96 (at the time of this article).
These are just a few general items I thought would make great gifts for a Doctor Who themed holiday, and I hope it is… wait for it… fantastic!
