We got our first short teaser for season 2 of Marvel’s Luke Cage on Netflix and now comes news on who will be playing the villain this season.
For anyone wondering who the Hero of Harlem will be facing in the new season of the series, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that actress Annabella Sciorra will be taking on the role of Rosalie Carbone in the new season of the Netflix series.
Sciorra is known for her roles in films like Jungle Fever, Reversal of Fortune, Cop Land and What Dreams May Come. She has also starred on hit television series including The Sopranos, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and more recently on another Netflix series GLOW.
“I’ve been a huge fan of hers since Spike Lee’s Jungle Fever, and Annabella Sciorra is no joke as Rosalie Carbone,” said Luke Cage showrunner and writer Cheo Hodari Coker.
Rosalie Carbone has traditionally been a Punisher villain in the comics and is a mafia princess from the Carbone crime family. She has a long and personal history with Frank Castle, but I’m sure that history will be altered for the series.
Luke Cage season 2 begins June 22nd on Netflix
