Veteran actress and Oscar-nominee Annette Bening has joined Captain Marvel, according to HollywoodReporter. They are calling the role a scientist while Variety says she will play Carol Danvers’ mother.
Filming is still taking place in LA but will eventually move to Baton Rogue/New Orleans.
It’s the primer before Avengers 4 and is expected to plant seeds to what we should be expecting to see (including Skrulls). Marvel has set the release date for March 8th, 2019.
