Saying it’s been a good year for Marvel Studios this year is an understatement as their box office total for the year will end up $4 billion. Contributing to this massive box office haul was thanks to Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War.
Pushing the total over the top is coming from Ant-Man and The Wasp officially crossed the $600 million dollar mark at the global box office. This refutes online narratives that the sequel was a flop for Marvel/Disney, which isn’t the case.
It currently ranks as the 15th top global grosser in the MCU currently sandwiched between Iron Man and Iron Man 2, for the moment. This will likely spark further interest from the studio to pursue Ant-Man 3.
