Anthony & Joe Russo’s ‘Cherry’ Adds Ciara Bravo, Michael Gandolfini, Jack Reynor, Bill Skarsgård, & More to Cast

Oct 3, 2019

Directors Anthony and Joe Russo’s next film ‘Cherry’ now has a full cast, joining Tom Holland (‘Avengers: Endgame,’ ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’).

So, without further ado, here are the new actors:

  • Ciara Bravo (‘Wayne,’ ‘Into the Dark: Pure’)
  • Michael Gandolfini (‘Ocean’s Eight, The Deuce’)
  • Forrest Goodluck (‘The Revenant,’ ‘The Miseducation of Cameron Post’)
  • Kyle Harvey (‘The After Party’)
  • Jack Reynor (‘Strange Angel,’ ‘Midsommar’)
  • Bill Skarsgård (‘Castle Rock,’ ‘It: Chapter Two’)
  • Jeff Wahlberg (‘Counterpart,’ ‘Dora and the Lost City of Gold’)

The Russo Bros. are famous for the second and third ‘Captain America’ films, and last year’s ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’ They recently did the follow-up ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ which is now the highest grossing film of all time.

Additionally, Jessica Goldberg, the creator and writer of Hulu’s ‘The Path,’ wrote the screenplay with Angela Russo-Otstot (‘The Shield,’ ‘Trust Me’).

Moreover, the premise of the book adaptation is below:

“Paralleling the true life story of the author Nico Walker (Holland), a former Army medic who returns from Iraq with extreme undiagnosed PTSD. He then falls into opioid addiction and begins robbing banks.”

Meanwhile filming is currently underway in Cleveland, Ohio. Also, Los Angeles might be another shooting location. Since Sony’s ‘Uncharted’ is looking at a January 2020 production start, ‘Cherry’ will wrap sometime before December ends.

Further, the crew comprises of cinematographer Newton Thomas Sigel (‘Drive,’ ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’), composer Henry Jackman (‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle,’ ‘Pokémon Detective Pikachu’), and production designer Philip Ivey (‘District 9,’ ‘Elysium’).

‘Cherry’ does not have a release date yet.
