Paramount’s potential franchise starter ‘Infinite’ now has Sophie Cookson onboard the cast. She will star opposite Mark Wahlberg (‘Patriots Day,’ ‘All the Money in the World’).
Cookson made her feature film debut as Roxy in Matthew Vaughn’s ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service,’ and reprised the role in 2017’s ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle.’ Other credits include Universal’s ‘The Huntsman: Winter’s War’ and the Netflix series ‘Gypsy.’ Next, she will appear in the BBC One miniseries ‘The Trial of Christine Keeler,’ premiering this November.
The premise of the novel adaptation of ‘The Reincarnationist Papers’ is below:
“A group of near-immortal men and women who are reincarnated over the centuries and known as ‘the Infinite.’ To defeat an evil mastermind who wants to destroy the planet, the group must rely on a man who suffers from schizophrenia. They will have to learn that all his vivid dreams are actually memories from past lives, in order to defeat the villain.”
Moreover, Antoine Fuqua (‘Training Day,’ both ‘The Equalizer’ films) serves as director. The screenplay received revisions from John Lee Hancock (‘The Blind Side,’ ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’). Ian Shorr (‘Trenches,’ CBS’ ‘Training Day’) wrote the previous draft of the script.
Additionally, production designer Chris Seagers (‘Deepwater Horizon,’ ‘Alien: Covenant’) and second unit director Simon Crane (‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,’ ‘Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw’) are part of the crew.
The movie is eyeing to film this month and wrap sometime in either November or December. It will possibly shoot in the United Kingdom. Also, other potential locations could be Los Angeles and Rome, as those are cities in the book.
‘Infinite’ will release August 7, 2020.
