‘Aquaman’: Will Beall Is Back To Pen Script; Work Off Treatment From Geoff Johns And James Wan

Jul 22, 2016

The Aquaman movie has reeled in Gangster Squad screenwriter Will Beall once again to pen the script of the of the upcoming DC superhero movie.

Beall was originally hired by Warner Bros in 2014 with Kurt Johnstad, both were tasked with penning two separate scripts for the Aquaman movie. Once director James Wan came onboard, Beall and Johnstad departed as Wan brought along his own writer David Leslie Johnson.

This time round Beall will work off a treatment by James Wan and DC Films co-head and comic writer extraordinaire Geoff Johns.

The more I see Geoff Johns name attached to DC Films, the even more excited I get about the next batch of films in the DCEU. The guy knows his stuff. His knowledge, plus James Wans skills behind the camera. Aquaman is lining up to be one of my most anticipated films.

Jason Momoa will star as the King of the Seven Seas. He’ll be joined by Amber Heard as Mera and Willem Dafoe as Vulko.

Aquaman is set to hit screens July 27, 2018.
