It has been ten years since we witnessed Tony Stark step into the Iron Man Armor and since that moment the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been an unstoppable Box Office Titan, hammering down their foes with limitless power. A decade later, the MCU is comprised of dozens of heroes each with their vast array of powers and skills that they use to battle their adversaries into defeat. There is something ominous looming in the stars, something that the likes of the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Ruler of Wakanda, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, and the Sorcerer Supreme have never faced in their most terrifying of nightmares.

The Mad Titan Thanos. Armed with strength, intellect, and battle prowess that would make him a nearly insurmountable foe for any of our heroes, he seeks something that would make him utterly unstoppable. The Infinity Stones. If Thanos and his Black Order can manage to acquire all six Stones, he could destroy life as we know it with a simple snap of his fingers.

Avengers Infinity War contains everything you could possibly want from the MCU and then gives you a million things you could never possibly expect or predict in your wildest dreams. For every joke, there is a tear-jerking tragedy, for every victory punch, there is a hammer blow of loss. Quite simply put, Infinity War is the most intense emotional roller coast you have ever ridden following our heroes, and when you’ve had enough and you’re ready to get off the ride, you’re promptly punched in the stomach. You will leave the theatres having cheered, laughed, gasped, cried, and with your mouth on the floor unable to wrap your mind around what just happened.

With the extraordinary Russo Brothers in the driver’s seat, our fandom, our nerd wants, needs, and desires, and the beautiful tapestry the MCU has been woven into is handled with such care and delicacy while simultaneously turning upside down everything we know of our world. Our actors are given storylines and actions that propel every single story forward and work into the puzzle of the grand masterpiece of the last decade.

There are throwbacks to past films, there are phenomenal comic references and Easter eggs that will be incredible to search for through multiple viewings. There are incredible performances from the largest Comic Film Cast to date. It is fast paced without feeling rushes, and jam-packed without feeling crowded and convoluted. Without any other way to express my thoughts on the film, it is essentially perfect.

I could talk in immense detail about every microsecond of the film and explore the zillion thought paths that are swirling around in the blender that is in my brain right now. However, I will stay as high level as possible. I firmly believe this is a masterpiece and so utterly important for the fans to get to witness on their own. I implore you all, go see Infinity War as soon as humanly possible, you owe it to yourself!

I’m hoping to have picked my jaw up off the floor and fully process what I just witnessed by the time I go see it again!
