Season 3 Episode 5 – The Deal
Spoilers Ahead!
White Pine Bay maybe the creepiest place since Spahn Ranch. With plenty of deviant criminals as Rikers Island. What is on the flash drive? That is still the question we want and need answered. Well thanks to Gunner for accidentally finding it and cracking the extremely tough code we have an answer. It seems that all the important people in town are involved in the illegal revenue of the drug trade. Fifteen million dollars to be exact. Now we know why Bob Paris had two girls killed for the flash drive.
This is where Norma finally decides to quit being everyone’s stepping stone and becomes a fearless strong woman. She heads on over to Sheriff Romero’s house to tell him he has what Bob Paris is looking for. He of course wants Norma to turn it over, but Norma has another idea. She wants to play with the big boys and needs the Sheriffs help. Norma convinces the Sheriff to accompany her to The Arcanum Club to make Bob Paris an offer. Almost an offer he can’t refuse. It was great to see Norma play hard ball with this jerk. The look on the Sheriff’s face as she describes what she wants is a precious Kodak moment.
What does she want? She wants an off ramp from the expressway to the Main Street. Two large billboards on both sides of the freeway advertising her Motel. Finally a small pool with Jacuzzi and a fence around it to keep little kids out. Not much at all. Oh and I forgot the most important part she gets to keep the flash drive. Now I don’t know about you but this sounds like a terrible deal. Well Bob Paris says deal and smiles. I’m sure this will be a big story line to end the season with. I just don’t buy it.
This week’s show ends with a crazy cliffhanger as Dylan and Norman tell Norma that Caleb her incestuous brother is staying at Dylan’s ranch / Pot Farm. She flys off the handle gets in her car and screeches out of the parking lot.
This episode was great! Things are finally clearing up, but at the same time more craziness is on its way. In my opinion I think Bob Paris will be going after Norma. He would love to see her dead and the flash drive back in his hands. We all know the ending to this so I’m sure Norma will have the last word.
