We’ve had all sorts of live action Batsuit’s over the years, some iconic, some idiotic (yes I’m talking about the Bat Nipples in Batman Forever).
Burton and Nolan’s versions of the costume are amongst my favourites, but the standout Batsuit for me came from Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Ben Affleck donned the suit that looked ripped straight from the pages of Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns comic book. It looks incredible, for those who haven’t saw it see below:
It’s a thing of beauty. From the cowl to the large bat symbol, to the iconic grey suit we’d seen hundreds of times in the comics but never on the big screen.
Things could have been totally different for the Batsuit however, as new concept art has revealed a suit more armour plated, a bit like what we’re getting in Justice League and one that’s more like Christian Bale’s Batsuit from Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy.
Conceptual artist Jerad S.Marantz who worked on Batman V Superman dropped the different takes of the Batsuit on his Instagram account.
Both of these are stunning, but I think Snyder and designer Michael Wilkinson made the correct decision going down the simpler route with the Batsuit they chose, what do you think?
