BatFleck fans rejoice! Ben Affleck will once again don the cape and cowl and return as The Dark Knight in ‘The Flash’. According to Deadline, Affleck was given the script for ‘The Flash’ last week and agreed to sign on the project.
In an Interview with Vanity Fair, director Andy Muschietti had this say. ““He’s a very substantial part of the emotional impact of the movie. The interaction and relationship between Barry and Affleck’s Wayne will bring an emotional level that we haven’t seen before. He’s a very substantial part of the emotional impact of the movie. He’s part of that unaltered state before we jump into Barry’s adventure…There’s a familiarity there,” he further tells Vanity Fair. Muschiette may elaborate more on the Flash film on the 22nd of August at DC Fandome during the Flash panel.
Ben Affleck has been out of the role since early 2018 in which on live television Ben admitted to no longer being the Batman. However through a string of good luck, Andy Muschietti Flash is shaping up to be a bat-stravaganza with Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck returning as well. On Top of all this, In all likelihood, Robert Pattinson’s Batman may be written into the current DCEU with Miller’s Flash by the end of the film. With this revelation, hype for the Flash film may have hit an all time high as this film will not only be the first solo outing for Miller’s Flash but 89 Batman fans will see their Batman as well as Current Batfleck fans.
