‘Big Hero 6’ Star Ryan Potter Campaigns as ‘Robin’ in Ben Affleck’s ‘The Batman’

Sep 11, 2016

Earlier today the voice actor behind Hiro Hamada in 2014’s Big Hero 6; Ryan Potter released a concept martial arts video with him as Tim Drake. It’s the actors latest way of gaining some support to add Robin officially into the ever growing DC Cinematic Universe. Ryan Potter got his acting start on Nick’s Supah Ninjas however the actor has actually been studying White Tiger kung fu since the age of 8. He also comes from Japanese and Jewish decent which would add even more diversity to the DCEU.

So far all we know as that Dick Grayson (The first Robin) was originally suppose to cameo in Batman v Superman as Nightwing before eventually being written out of the script. We also know that The Joker (Jared Leto) has already murdered Jason Todd (The second Robin) before the events of Batman v Superman. So the thought of a young Tim Drake (The third Robin) entering the DCU isn’t such a terrible idea.

In theory you could have all three Robins in a Batman stand alone film and still work. Nightwing could be all grown up off doing his own thing in Bludhaven but angry and distant from Bruce after what happened to Jason Todd at the hands of The Joker. Enter Tim Drake trying to once again take up the mantle of Robin even though Bruce has basically lost both Robins in the past. Finally….Jason Todd returns to Gotham as The Red Hood.
